A Weekend in Palm Springs, CA: Bachelorette Edition

This is probably one of my most requested blog posts to date! Last month we jet off to California for my bachelorette party in Palm Springs. Though I shared some of the details on my Instagram story throughout the weekend, there were quite a few questions I haven't gotten around to answering. I decided it would be easiest to try and address all of them in this recap!

OUR AIRBNB

There aren't words to describe how perfect our Airbnb was. Be sure to check out the full listing here for more photos! The decor and pool area made us feel like we were at a modern resort. Not to mention, it was stocked with almost anything we needed from party platters to pool toys. It sleeps six easily between the master bedroom and two guest rooms, but there's also large couches throughout that provide plenty of room for lounging. Each of the two bathrooms were stocked for the weekend with the best hair products from Not Your Mother's - the dry shampoo and hairspray were crucial given the warm temperatures during our stay.

The outdoor area was made for entertaining featuring a cozy couch, pool table, lounge chairs and dining table. Plus, around the other side of the yard is a secluded smaller patio with chairs and a table. It made the perfect spot for an outdoor happy hour during the weekend with our favorite Mezzacorona wines - their new sparkling rose was delicious (sharing a recipe from the weekend with the wine next!). The tall hedges around the pool area made us feel like we were in our own paradise, and provided privacy from the outside world.

BRIDAL PARTY BAGS

As a thank you for all of my girls traveling out to the west coast, I wanted to treat them to some fun items they could use throughout the weekend and after! We had plans to go hiking during our time in Palm Springs, so I thought it would be fun to buy the girls matching hats to wear on the hike. It took a while for me to find ones that I liked for the group, but these On Cloud Wine hats from Pink Sundays Studio were love at first sight. They were actually out of stock when I found them originally, so I stalked to see when they'd be available again. For myself, I ordered the white version that reads On Cloud Nine

Along with our matching hats were t-shirts and personalized tote bags from BASH, who also provided the cutest hangover kit bags for the party. Inside each hangover kit was travel-size Advil, a hair comb, makeup remover wipes, hair clips, hair masks, eye masks and other goodies!

THINGS TO DO

Since we were all flying in from different locations, the first day of our trip was rather laid-back around the house and we all met at Birba for a welcome dinner (more food options listed later on in this post). The following morning we set out for the Aerial Tramway Hike! It's a shorter hike accessible via a gondola ride up the mountain. It made for some incredible views out over the desert area, yet during the hike I felt like were in Colorado surrounded by huge rocks and trees. There are a bunch of hike routes in the area, so you can always browse to find one that's appropriate for your group. That night we hit the town to explore a new rooftop bar and do some dancing.

Though we didn't have time to fit everything into the agenda some other popular activities or places to visit in the Palm Springs area are:

POOL PARTY DECOR

On the last day of the bachelorette party, we planned a pool party at our Airbnb to soak up some rays and kick back before the girls flew out the next morning. My maids of honor planned the cutest backdrop including black and white swan pool floats, giant white balloons and a quirky lettered sign.

WHERE TO EAT IN PALM SPRINGS

Truth be told, there are a TON of great spots in the area from sandwich shops to upscale dining, but below is a list of some of the spots that we hit during the trip as well as a few that were highly recommended.

  • FARM

  • El Jefe at the Saguaro Hotel
  • Ice Cream Shoppe
  • Norma's at the Parker Hotel

A lot of the questions I received were regarding my wardrobe throughout the trip, so I'll be posting a full packing list of what went in my suitcase! Feel free to comment below if there's any other questions you guys have!

I'm ready to head back to Cali now.
