The Books That Every Babe Should Have On Her Nightstand

The Books That Every Girl Should Have On Her Nightstand - Bossypants, #Girlboss, The Girl on the Train, Crush it!, The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up

Alright, you may not have known this about me... I'm a little bit of a bookworm.

I've got a thing for books; mysteries, suspense, comedy and productivity are the genres I reach for the most (cookbooks aside). There's just something about being curled up in bed wearing cozy socks with a cup of tea and a good read. NERD ALERT. Not even sorry about it.

So, what books should every babe have on her nightstand right now? I'm breaking down my top picks for you. Large chance that you've heard of these titles before or you may have read them already. They're just that good.

1. Bossypants by Tina Fey
Now my appreciation for Tina Fey's humor runs deep. The dry sarcasm just gets me every time! You can expect me to watch every show, movie, play or opera that ever includes Tina Fey because she just rocks it out. This book details her life in true Tina fashion - pictures and explicit jokes included. Not only did I learn quite a bit about how she came to where she is today, but I got a hell of a laugh out of every chapter. You won't be disappointed. Tina fans unite!

2. The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo
Calling all fellow clean freaks... This book was made for us. Not only will it make you want to reorganize your entire home, but it will make you want to clean out your entire LIFE. From negativity to packed bedroom closets, Marie lays it all out plain and simple. You may think you have it all together, but I HIGHLY encourage you to take a chapter out of this book because there is always room for improvement, growth and a beautifully organized pantry.

3. Crush It!: Why Now Is The Time To Cash In On Your Passion by Gary Vaynerchuk
If you were ever looking for that book to gift you a swift kick in the ass, order this baby now. Special shoutout to all of my entrepreneur peeps - this book will absolutely tickle your fancy. As a blogger with a busy life, my passion can be put on the backburner quite a bit. It was this read that really opened my eyes to how I should be going for the big picture, and how I can get there while managing the other aspects of my daily routine. Because who doesn't love adding a little pep in their step?

4. #GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso
ROCK ON. Not only am I a NastyGal fan, but Sophia just kicks it out of the park. The rise to business success - especially in the fashion industry - could be one of most ridiculous things ever. But, think about it... Look at ALL the competition! How does one stand out in a sea of look-alikes? Well, Sophia dishes it all here in her book. If you're into fashion and consider yourself a boss babe (who doesn't?) then you'll love this!

5. The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins
Mystery, sex and a little bit psycho - you won't be able to put this down. It's no secret that this novel is about to be released in theaters, and Emily Blunt makes a convincing main character. But, what's the actual secret to this twisted scandal? Only you can and should find this out. I'm a large advocate in reading before the films, so you better get a move on it!

Yes, these are super popular titles out there today, but I'm always on the hunt for something new. If you have any favorites or have heard of some reads that spark interest, share them in the comments below!
