For a gal who has always lived in Florida, paradise isn't too hard to find.

Back in August (yes.... I am FINALLY getting this up), Lantz and I spent the weekend at Opal Sands Resort in Clearwater Beach for his annual work trip - special shoutout to Curtis and Trish Parry for an amazing getaway!

We spent the weekend soaking up the sun, relaxing in fluffy robes and gobbling down more cheese plates than one should. But, it was one of the best trips we've had together!

For those considering a stay at Opal Sands Resort, I highly recommend you book now. Between the fabulous on-site dining experiences to the luxurious guest room setup, you won't be disappointed. All 230 rooms feature an incredible view of the Gulf and are equipped with everything you may need, including an in-room Keurig and fresh David's cookies just down the hall on each floor. Clearly, this hotel knew I was coming. COOKIES FOR DAYS. This resort also has a spacious fitness center, full-service spa, waterfront activities and a beach bar. I'd be lying if I said we didn't play a few rounds of cornhole on the pool deck. Update: I am still terrible at this game, but miraculously play better in the dark. Who knew?

While we were sad to have to leave this beautiful hotel, we're so thankful for the opportunity we had to visit! Who doesn't love to be treated like royalty every once and a while? Check out our vlog below (it's our first one!) for a better look into this fantastic location:
