BE WARNED: Every single one of your guests will be ranting and raving as they sip! Whether you're catering to grandpa nestled on the couch or the kids playing outside, here's a few drink recipes that are sure to impress all guests at your Thanksgiving gathering this year.
Ingredients:
- Fresh Apple Cider
- Champagne (or sparkling cider for those avoiding alcohol)
- Gold, silver or other sprinkles for rim of glass
- Apple slices for garnish
Directions:
1. Dip the top of each of your champagne flutes into water and then dip rim into sprinkled to coat (like rimming a margarita glass with salt).
2. Fill each champagne glass 1/2 - 3/4 of the way full with apple cider (however much desired).
3. Top each glass with champagne or sparkling cider. Enjoy!
APPLE CIDER SANGRIA
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of white wine (I personally liked using a Pinot Grigio for this, but use any that you like!)
- 1/2 cup vodka (can use gluten-free vodka if desired, I recommend Tito's)
- 2 1/2 cups fresh apple cider
- 1 cup carbonated water
- 2-3 apples, chopped - can add more if desired
- 1 tbsp raw honey or agave
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 orange, chopped
- 1/4-1/2 cup pomegranate seeds (add as desired)
- Cinnamon sticks (to flavor and garnish)
Directions:
1. Chop up your apples and oranges, then place them in the bottom of your pitcher or drink container with pomegranate seeds.
2. Add in 2-3 cinnamon sticks, carbonated water, wine, raw honey or agave and cinnamon. Stir all together.
3. Add in vodka, mix and taste - you can add as desired.
4. Serve over ice and garnish with fruit pieces or cinnamon sticks!
*The longer that your sangria mixture sits, the better it will taste! I recommend making this a few hours ahead of time and letting it sit in the fridge. Also, the best fresh ciders can be found at local farmer's markets or farms in your area! If not, go for an all-natural version from your grocery store.
PUMPKIN SPICE WHITE HOT CHOCOLATE (SKINNY VERSION ALSO)
Ingredients:
- 4-5 cups milk (I use almond milk for a skinny, dairy-free version)
- 12 ounces chopped white chocolate - using chips is easiest (Dairy-free chocolate chips are also an option!)
- 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 tsp cocoa powder, as pure as you can find
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Cinnamon sticks (to garnish)
- Dairy-free whipped cream (if desired)
Directions:
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, pour in milk, cocoa powder and chocolate. Stir together until completely combined and frothy.
2. Add in vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon. Stir all together until completely mixed.
3. Pour into glasses while hot and garnish with dairy-free whipped cream, a hint of cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice, and a cinnamon stick.
Also can we just touch on how cute these little pine cones are?! Such an easy DIY, and I've placed them on my side tables, inside glassware and more!
It's the time of the year to eat, drink and be merry!
