Travel Size Beauty Products To Fit Your Life From Stowaway Cosmetics

On my most recent trip to the Grand Cayman islands, I encountered a bit of an issue...

While going through airport security to come back to Florida, I was told that I had to fit all of my liquid items into a quart size ziploc. Now, I thought this would be no problem, since my travel size shampoo, conditioner and facial products were able to fit without an issue. But I then came to realize that they consider most makeup products to also be "liquids" - concealer, mascara, lip gloss, eye serum, foundation. My bag quickly became unable to close and I had to hold up the line at security. Thankfully, they let L and I share our ziplocs since we were traveling together. In that moment, I was so thankful he's a light packer...

Is your makeup bag starting to look like a second suitcase? Don't deny it. I'd like to introduce you to Stowaway Cosmetics. Their travel size beauty products can fit in the palm of your hand and offer you the same versatility as your full size products - they even have full eye palettes this size!

The 10 Best Sweaters for Fall and Winter

LOFT sweaters, fall and winter, fall fashion, winter fashion

I LOVE SWEATERS.

This may sound crazy coming from a girl living in Florida, but I will happily turn the A/C down in my household during this time of year (if needed) to enjoy my favorite, cozy sweaters. Gosh, I really hope I'm not the only one with this kind of sweater love.... awkward.

Either way, there are so many sweaters out on the market - believe me, I've tried most of them on. Some are super soft, have cute sleeve detail or have a chic off-the-shoulder aspect to them. Intrigued? Keep reading on as I share the 10 best sweaters you should be wearing right now!

Hosting A Spooky Soirée At Home With Google

Though I am usually not the Halloween type, I'm switching things up this year and embracing the spooky holiday. This could also be due to the fact that L and I live together now and he is a Halloween lover. But, I was a little more excited about it when I started working with Google to experience this Google Home Mini

Not only is it the perfect centerpiece for any Halloween hostess, but it also brings all the spooky fun. Don't believe me? Try saying this to your Google Home Mini the next time it's powered on: "Hey Google, show me something spooky!"

Washington, D.C. Travel Guide: Eats and Sights In Our Nation's Capital

It's no secret that Washington, D.C. is one of my favorite cities. From its history to its culture, there is something for everyone to love.

I've been to D.C. on six separate occasions - one of those being a summer program right before college where I lived in the city and attended journalism courses at American University. Other than that summer, it's been for pure pleasure visiting friends there in the city and having a mini getaway from Florida (the flight is quick and usually inexpensive!).

Every year I look forward to sporting fall colors - I just love how easy they are to pair, and they look good on almost everyone. Each season, I keep my eye out for the colors that are most popular. Grand Cayman Travel Guide: 4 Days on the Island

Yes, my life has been crazy and I am just now getting to share this travel guide with you all! It's currently my travel season, so I'm on-the-go almost every weekend! I already have another travel guide coming your way this week, too.

In late August we got the chance to travel to the island for a 4-day trip with L's work team. It was my first time in Grand Cayman, and I couldn't have been more excited! The weather was warm, but the biggest thing for me was the HUMIDITY - which as a Florida girl, was something that I thought I was accustomed to by now. It was on an entirely different level there... a.k.a. I left the curler at home and just rocked the natural waves.

A Floridian's Perspective on Fall

It's that time of year when everything pumpkin spice is back (visit your nearest Trader Joe's for confirmation), sweaters are being pulled out of the dark corners of your closet to cozy up in, and we're trading in our sandals for booties.

LOL, NOPE.

I live in Florida. A.K.A. The never-ending summer.

This Floridian's true perspective on fall? It's my favorite season of the year, but not because the temperatures are any nicer and the layers are coming on.

4 Tips for How to Dress in Humid Hotspots

Last month (YES, I am finally getting around to all my posts for the trip) we visited Grand Cayman for about a week. I thought I knew how to deal with humidity - I am from Florida after all - but quickly learned my lesson. The humidity there is NO joke.

I had packed my suitcase with options for almost every occasion. But when it came down to it, I had some of my basic pieces on repeat because they were the most comfortable. I've broken it down to four simple tips that I think made a world of a difference.
