A Weekend at Aventura Hotel | Orlando, FL

A few weeks ago Lantz and I had the opportunity to spend a few days at the Aventura Hotel in Orlando, and it was nothing short of fantastic! The hotel is conveniently located directly across from Universal's Studios, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay and CityWalk - which offers a variety of restaurants, shops and bars to enjoy.

Upon checking into the hotel, we took a stroll around the lobby and food areas to find a bunch of great options right there on the grounds! On the lobby floor there is a Starbucks, food court area (it has different options for each meal including hot sandwiches, a sushi bar and snacks if you're on the go), and a pizza station. 

Lantz and I actually ordered a pizza up to our room during the weekend to eat while watching the Gator football game. Once we finished checking out the main lobby, we made our way up to our room on the 15th floor. As soon as we opened the door, we were greeted with an incredible view of Volcano Bay out the window. 

My favorite part of the room is that it is completely controlled with an iPad! You can change the TV channels, control the lights and even order food off of the tablet. When we needed fresh towels, I ordered them to the room via our iPad, and Lantz used it to check out all of the restaurants nearby through it's Park Info application.

Once we had the opportunity to drop off our belongings to the room, we raced to the park! We started off at Universal Studios and then grabbed some yummy Voodoo Doughnut on the way back to the room to enjoy for dessert and breakfast the next morning. My favorite donut flavors were the PB Oreo, Maple Bacon Bar, Fruit Loop, Strawberry and Portland Cream - you really can't go wrong with any of the options they have! 

After grabbing dinner we head up to the rooftop bar, Bar 17 Bistro, to check out the view and grab a drink before Halloween Horror Nights. It was my first time to HHN, and I definitely needed a little liquid courage. On our way back to the room we decided to check out the pool and the VR game room. Yes, you read that right - the hotel has a Virtual Reality game room on the second floor that you can enjoy during your stay.

These photos really don't even do this hotel justice! It's an absolutely beautiful location with a modern design that's perfect for adults or families visiting the area. Without a doubt, the Aventura Hotel has the best view of the entire surrounding area from it's rooftop bar and offers a gorgeous view from any of it's 600 guest rooms with the floor-to-ceiling windows. 

And did I mention the hotel gym? It's the perfect place to get that morning workout in while overlooking the nearby area. The gym is equipped with treadmills, stationary bikes, free weights and more for your fitness needs!

After such a wonderful stay at this resort, I'm ready to go back! Lantz and I have certainly placed the Aventura Hotel at the top of our list for Orlando area hotels.
