The 4 Basic Pieces You Need for This Fall Season

Fall is around the corner, and that means it's time to stock up on all your favorites!

For myself, that means it's time to stock on sweaters, leggings, denim, booties and cozy outerwear. Below I'm breaking down all the the fall basic staples that can take you through the season. Who doesn't love it when they are warm and cozy, but also cute? That's right... everyone loves that.

Flannels and Sweaters

From plaid favorites to layering cardigans, these are my favorite to shop for! Perhaps it's because I work in an office that always feels like it's winter, but you can't go wrong with these. This plaid top that I'm wearing is by Rails from PB&J Boutique! The quality is amazing and the fit is great! It's that perfect over-sized feel, without feeling like you're drowning in fabric. WIN.

Ankle Booties

While riding boots are always a great option, I've been loving ankle booties lately! They're perfect with any pair of jeans, as well as dresses and jumpsuits. This pair from Vince Camuto is equal parts comfortable and chic - and that's what everyone wants of their everyday shoes. But, bear in mind, every pair is unique and can hit different parts of the ankle (these ones hit just the right height). Make sure that you try them on to find the best ones for you!

Distressed Denim

Distressed denim isn't just for the spring and summer, I think it's ideal for fall! Rock those patches while you still can, right? Whether it's blue denim or black (my two personal favorites), it's an easy way to spruce up a fall look consisting of your favorite basic items. Layer on a cozy sweater, chunky scarf, distressed denim and ankle booties for the ideal fall uniform.

Leather Jacket

When you need that last layer to provide some extra warmth, you should be reaching for a chic leather jacket. There are so many options out on the market now featuring embroidery, studs, metallic colors and peplum details that can turn any look from drab to fab. I'm of the opinion that it never hurts to have one basic leather jacket in a neutral color and a fun option to throw on for a night out!

Is anybody else ready for the fall weather to hit? This girl is!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
