This Body, My Body Campaign

Skinny, fat, pretty, ugly.... Just a couple of the words that women today are constantly stressing over.

The labels, magazine covers and celebrity fantasies are distracting. So, I'm partnering with Beyond The Clothing to spread an important message: every single one of us is uniquely beautiful.

I am nowhere near perfect; I'll be the first one to admit that. If I said that I didn't worry about gaining weight, breakouts and everything else, I would be lying. I've started to take my fitness and eating habits seriously - making the change to a healthier lifestyle. We ALL have flaws, but we have to learn how to embrace them.

Over the past couple of years in college, I really found myself. I'm that silly girl who's nerdy, meticulous and always wanting to go on an adventure. I love loose clothing and big sunglasses. I run almost everyday (it relaxes me) and listen to music whenever I get the chance.

Because this body is the only one that I have, and I intend on keeping it healthy as long as I can. Deep, dark secret: the idea of death scares me - like really, really scares me. I used to keep myself awake when I was younger if I ever thought about it, and sometimes still do. I suppose its the fact that we never really know what happens next, and for a total planner like me, the idea of that drives me a little crazy.

But if I've learned anything about myself recently, it's the fact that I will work as hard as I can for something that I truly want to accomplish. Whether it's physical, mental or work-related, my determination keeps me going until I reach my goal - and I'm proud of it.

As I said before, I'm not perfect, and more than likely I never will be. But, that's okay. If I were perfect, I'd have nothing to strive for - no records to break, no goals to reach.

I feel that it's important for all women to know they aren't alone. Body image issues have become a staple in our society. The desire to look and act a certain way drives some people to become someone they don't even recognize. And I'm here to tell you there's no need for it.

Love YOURSELF. Be YOURSELF.

We've got one chance for life, happiness and everything else. So, make sure that you're focusing on the positive things, because there's no time to dwell on the rest.

Share your story to inspire others, too. #ThisBodyMyBody

I hope you all are ready to tackle this week! Set a few goals to complete by the weekend and see what you can do when you put your mind to it! :)
