Exploring Asheville

My weekend in Asheville was too perfect for words. Mountain views, boutique shopping and delicious eats made returning to Florida a difficult task. For the last day of our trip, we spent our time exploring around downtown Asheville including a visit to their farmer's market and shopping around Lexington Avenue. I'm a sucker for fresh produce and treats from local markets. What did we snag in Asheville? Scrumptious apples, peanut butter (made with marshmallow fluff) and at least six different types of fudge.

After admiring the plethora of goodies at the market (and wishing we could buy them all to take home), we made our way downtown to hit the local boutiques and sight-see.

Curious to know which boutiques we loved? If you're ever in the downtown Asheville area, make sure to stop by Frock, Twist Boutique, Traveling Chic Boutique, and my personal favorites, Boutique LP and Minx. My mother and I snagged some awesome pieces, including the hat pictured above!! Though our afternoon was delightful, nothing compared to the fantastic evening we had at the Grove Park Inn. Upon arriving to the GPI, I felt like I was in a movie... The towering rock walls served as beautiful guards of the modern (yet rustic) hotel complete with 10-foot fireplaces and a terrace view that would stop anyone in their tracks.

Though the sunset terrace restaurant was closed for the evening, we still had a divine dinner at one of the Inn's other restaurants. Rest assured, the view could be seen from all angles. My brother and I couldn't get over just how beautiful it was, so naturally we took a million pictures to document.

It was a magical final day in our favorite place, but the time came to pack up our things and head back to the sunshine state the following morning.

Let's just say I'm ready to go back whenever the opportunity presents itself.

May your day be filled with lots of food, family, friends and happiness!! Happy Thanksgiving, readers!
xx, B
