I haven’t been able to decide what aspect of NYC I appreciate more – the countless number of delicious restaurants and bakeries, or the character and city culture that continues to surprise you while walking down the streets.
There’s no denying it; I’m an explorer. And what better way to tour the city than with your gals? After meeting up with my friends Roberta and Olivia at Madewell on Broadway (snagged a great deal on a light and cozy sweater!), we made our way down Broome street and through Chinatown on a quest for some delicious treats.
Babycakes NYC, you’re one of my new favorites.

They looked so good, I had to order two (pictured above) – Chocolate Mocha and Red Velvet. And, boy oh boy, they were scrumptious. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and more!

After our sweet fix, we made our way to see the popular mural of Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld located on Kenmare Street. A mural of a fashion icon? You know we had to see it.
With the first mural off our checklist, we made our way to the Bowery Mural. From what I’ve heard, the Bowery Mural has been changing every so often, displaying new content and a new theme each time. Here’s the latest artwork as of last week:

After all that walking around, shopping and eating, we decided to call it a day. But, it was an afternoon well spent with my lovely ladies!
Until the next adventure!
xx, B
