Boy oh boy, there is so much to do here in New York – even for free.
I’ve never been surrounded by so many restaurants, bakeries and salons before this summer, and I’m making it a goal to visit every place on my bucket list. To cross a few places off, this past weekend was filled with sweets and sun bathing.

My roommate and I visited Momofuku Milk Bar for some sweet treats. I got one of their confetti cookies and she ordered some of their Cereal Milk soft serve ice cream. It was delicious! Every one of their sweets will make your mouth water, from their cake truffles to their Crack Pie.
In honor of last week’s National Donut Day, we took advantage of the opportunity and stopped by the popular Doughnut Plant here in NYC. We couldn’t resist trying a bunch of different flavors, since all of them looked absolutely amazing.

As a break from our binge on sweets and treats, we decided to take the subway down to Coney Island on Sunday afternoon for some tanning and beach time – the city really can’t keep us Floridians away from the beaches. :)

The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed our time near the water; sweet summertime at its finest. Of course, we couldn’t leave Coney Island without getting a hot dog!

I’d say it was a successful weekend of fun and food to finish off our week of working.
